A responsible source at the Mafraq Health Directorate confirmed that around 19 cases had been recorded involving people who experienced mild health symptoms after eating meals from one of the restaurants in the Jaber border area.

The source told Al-Taj that the cases, including a number of workers in the Jaber Border area, visited the health center to receive the necessary care, stressing that all cases were mild and none required hospitalization.

He noted that the people who experienced the symptoms had eaten meals from the same restaurant, while the cases were dealt with and followed up on, stressing that their health conditions are good.

The source denied reports circulating about large numbers of people being affected or the presence of serious cases, stressing that the number of cases dealt with was only around 19, and no cases requiring hospitalization were recorded.

The relevant health authorities are following up on the matter in accordance with the procedures in place to verify the circumstances of the cases and take the necessary measures.
